Launch SmartFTP. Click on the File menu and choose Options (you might see a gear icon for settings as well). This opens the SmartFTP Settings dialog.
Navigate to Proxy/Firewall settings: In the Options dialog, look for Connection or Connection Settings. Under that, find Proxy / Firewall. SmartFTP’s features list indicates it supports proxies like SOCKS5, so there should be a section to configure these details.
In the Proxy/Firewall settings, find where you can specify a proxy server. Select SOCKS5 as the proxy type from the options (SmartFTP may list “Proxy Type: None/HTTP/SOCKS5/etc.” — choose SOCKS5).
After selecting SOCKS5, enter the proxy server Address and Port. Use the Anyone.io network’s proxy address (for a local client, 127.0.0.1 is typical) and Port 9050. If there are fields for Username and Password (for proxies that require auth), leave them blank for Anyone.io’s free proxy. There might also be an option to specify when to use the proxy (e.g., for all connections or only some); set it to be used for your FTP/SFTP connections as needed.
Click OK or Apply to save the proxy settings. Now, when you open a new connection in SmartFTP (through the login dialog or your saved favorites), SmartFTP will utilize the SOCKS5 proxy you configured. Proceed to connect to your FTP/SFTP server normally. The status/log in SmartFTP should indicate that it’s using a proxy, and your connection will be relayed via the Anyone.io network.

Every connection to an FTP or SFTP server through SmartFTP will now be coming from the Anyone.io network, not directly from your machine.
